Anti Scaling Water Systems Provide Cleaner Water

Scale can form on heating elements and the hardware and pipes of plumbing systems. Anti scaling water systems accelerate the magnesium and calcium minerals into particles that are harmless. It is recommended that a cup of white vinegar be run through the wash cycle to remove the scaling. Also reduction of soap usage by as much as half and using eco-friendly detergents is advised.

The conversion of magnesium and calcium in existing pipes can be accomplished in as fast as two seconds. The reaction is immediate and particles are formed on the surface. It meets NSF 61 standards which is an independent test that effects health and is performed by Water Quality Assurance labs. Having too much chlorine will have a serious effect on the system so a carbon filter should be installed as part of the treatment system installation.

A major advantage of anti scaling water systems are that they require less servicing and maintenance. They require no salt or service calls to check for efficient operation. They require no electricity or valves, keeping costs at a minimum. As they require no salts or chemicals they discharge no brine. They do not require electricity and therefore keep energy costs low. In children, this causes developmental problems. In adults, it causes metabolic disorders. Researchers have found it in over 800 test sites around the United States. But, it is not regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency. So, currently, you have to assume that it is present in your tap-water.

If you compare product performance data, you can learn what health hazards a system removes and to what extent. The data should also give you an idea of how much per gallon, your water treatment products will cost.

However, many companies do not provide complete information before you buy. Reverse osmosis providers may tell you "what" is removed, but not "how much". Brita is very evasive. It took a lot of time to find out that their pitchers only reduce lead by 93% and chlorine by 75%.

But, it was worth it, because now I have home water treatment systems that I know are effective. They gave me the freedom to drink and shower without worry.

However, as deionized or softened water contains high amounts of sodium, it isn't good for people's health. That is why softened water or deionized water shouldn't be used for drinking and cooking (the watering of plants and lawns isn't recommended as well).

Distillation

The process of Distillation is relatively slow and must be repeated several times to ensure significantly pure water. It is a good way to produce pure water removed of salt, nitrate, and pathogens. However, synthetic chemicals common in municipal water such as herbicides, pesticides, and chlorine solutions can't be removed through distillation, because their boiling point is lower than the one of water. In addition, distillation removes natural trace elements, thus turning it acidic (hydrogen composition becomes greater in proportion). Long-term consumption of water that is demineralized in that way, can be harmful to the body system and may result in mineral deficiencies inside the body.
